From my last blog, I got a lot of comments asking me if (you) should spend a whole lot of money on high end makeup. Makeup, luckily, is not like clothes or jewelry, so no one will come up to you and be like "Cute Benefit Hoola Bronzer." No one can really tell (or know) what brand you are wearing. Celebrities could be wearing a lipgloss they found in the dollar store for all you know. The only thing I would recommend buying from department stores, or brands that have products that are good for you that you should really splurge on is face makeup (foundation, concealer, etc.), and skincare. This is because this stuff is applied to your skin, and if you use a foundation that isn't so good, it will cause breakouts and worsen your skin. Even though I LOVE high-end brands, they can really get pricey. I suggest going to drugstores for things like mascara or lip glosses. Try comparing colors from high-end to drugstore because you might find the same color you like, just different brands. High-end brands charge extra because i costs a lot of money to have a 'booth' in malls/department stores. Forever21 has by far the cheapest priced makeup I've seen. Some of their makeup is cheaper than drugstore. They have mascaras, eyeliners, eyebrow stuff, eyelash curlers, brushes, mirrors, eyeshadow palettes, lip glosses...and everything you could possibly imagine that would be at Sephora, or Ulta.
